And Now, Some B-Roll Of The New Batmobile

As Marvel fans eagerly await the latest installment of the plethora of superhero movies hitting the silver screen these days, we’re busy checking out Batman’s latest ride in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Batman, played by Ben Affleck, will be chasing down Superman (we’re not entirely sure the premise of this one…) in a totally new Batmobile, and it has a General Motors V8 under the hood.

There haven’t been any reports as to what exactly is under the hood of Batman’s latest ride, but we’re assuming it’s somewhere in the LS crate engine family. LS crate engines are fairly inexpensive, and extremely reliable. And fast. Batman doesn’t want his chariot to be slow after all.

A video has been uploaded showcasing some cinegraphic b-roll footage of the new Batmobile, although we don’t get any sound clips of whatever LS engine is hiding behind the outlandish styling. Even though GM didn’t have a hand in styling this new Batmobile, Batman can rest assured he’ll have plenty of power to take on Superman.

  1. Why does the new Batmobile have turn signals? It’s the friggin Batmobile. I don’t think Batman will be using them much while chasing down Superman.

  2. Return of the Dark Knight seems to be a partial premise to what’s going on. Batman basically wants assurances that Superman, with as powerful as he is, isn’t going to turn against humanity or start to believe he is a god because some people view him that way. He also wants to prove to Superman that he isn’t invincible and can be defeated in the case that he does go rogue.
