BJ Baldwin drives a 7.9-liter, 800 horsepower Chevrolet trophy Truck in the Championship Off Road Racing series and to be frank, he’s rather good at it. Baldwin’s won the championship four times, and when he’s not racing, he’s making Gymkhana-style videos with well-known rich guy Dan Bilzerian.
This is Recoil 2, the sequel to the first Recoil, which featured BJ and his off-road Chevy truck doing jumps, burnouts, drifts and everything in between. Baldwin and his sponsor, Monster Energy, stepped up their game for the follow up video, venturing out to the town where the legendary Baja 1000 off-road race starts, Ensenada, Mexico.
In it, Bilzerian challenges Bj to make it from the outskirts of the town to the beach in under 20 minutes, where he’ll be shortly arriving in his helicopter filled with the obligatory eight supermodels which seem to be in his company 24 hours a day. The best part about the video is seeing what a Trophy Truck can really do on the types of terrain you see around your town every day, such as stairs, curbs, ditches, and roads.
This is worth taking 7 minute out of your day to watch, we promise. There is a loud V8, drifting, jumps, fire, girls, helicopters, burnouts and much more. It might actually be the manliest video we’ve seen all year. Check it out below.
