Leave it to ICON to make an old rust bucket cool. Recently, the company, famous for its boutique SUV rebuilds, attained a 1948 Buick that was found in a Pennsylvania barn, and hadn’t seen road action since 1973. What happened next took a year and a half to complete.
According to Bold Ride (where the photos are), the whole project was built from the ground up using laser scanning and features 21st century amenities like power windows, navigation, a backup camera, as well as a new stereo system. And while it keeps its vintage looks from the outside, underneath that contoured bonnet is a 6.2L LS9 supercharged V8 a la C6 Corvette ZR1 which makes this ICON Derelict Buick Super Convertible a very special hot rod.
