The tuning wizards at Texas-based tuning company Late Model Racecraft have done it again. The very same group that built the world’s first C7 Corvette to run a 9-second quarter mile are now the same group to develop a successfully supercharged C7 Corvette.
After plenty of research and development, LMR’s centrifugally supercharged C7 managed to produce an incredible 731 RWHP and 592 lb-ft of torque on the dyno. That’s significantly more horsepower than what’s expected for the 2015 Corvette Z06, but significantly less torque at the same time. According to a post from LMR on Corvette Forums, the C7 has LMR’s stage 2 headers/camshaft package, an A&A supercharger system producing about 7-8 lbs of boost and is running on 93 octane pump fuel. Label us impressed.
LMR claims the results seen here are from the first round of tuning and there is plenty more to come. In the meantime, check out the dyno pull in the video below.
Comments
Sorry but this car produces more torque than the coming C7 Z06. Figuring for a 12% drivetrain loss the LMR Vette makes over 850 HP and over 650 Ft/Lbs of torque at the crank. Please amend the article.
