The Chevrolet Camaro has once again trumped the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger in sales for 2013. The year-to-date sales for the previous year put the Camaro ahead of the pack with 80,567 in sales compared to the Mustang’s 77,186 in sales and the Challenger’s in 51,468 sales. The Camaro also averages out with 6,941 sales per month since 2009, higher than the others. The Mustang has an average of 6,334 sales per month since 2009 and the Challenger comes in far third with an average of 3,236 sales per month since ’09.
The Chevrolet Camaro also leads in deliveries (395,974) since 2009, the year it re-entered the market.
It’s anticipated that the Camaro will have some stiff competition this year with the release of the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang, which made its debut in December.

Chicago Auto show is in February. I thought the Mustang was going to appear in Detroit?
Another source said the Auto Show was in April but I will verify that. The Mustang will be at the Auto Show in Detroit as well.
The Mustang will be in Detroit.
The Camaro will hold an edge this year but next year and the year after the Mustang may gain a little edge just because it is new and it really is a good car. A lot depends on the start up and product Ford does.
We will see the cycle reverse when the Alpha Camaro shows up and GM will take the lead back. At least we hope it will but we have yet to see the real styling. As for the chassis and engines the Alpha I expect will be the better car as the CTS has only hinted at what we will see.
Where are all the people who said once ford comes out with the new engine’s for the Mustang camaro s sells lead would end?
They must be under the same rock with the people that said the cruze would not sell any of them in the us!
