Corvette Racing Nets 10th ALMS Championship In 15 Years

Corvette Racing may have only placed 3rd and 6th at the Oak Tree Grand Prix at Virginia International Raceway, but it was enough to lock in American Le Mans Championship number 10, and there’s still one last race to go.

Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen finished third in the No. 3 C6.R, while Tommy Milner and Oliver Gavin managed sixth in the No. 4 C6.R. Gavin experienced several moments of contact, one of which led to a one minute penalty after colliding with a GT Challenge Porsche just after the one-hour mark.

Corvette Racing and the 2013 American Le Mans Series season closes with Petit Le Mans on Saturday, Oct. 19 from Road Atlanta. The 1,000-mile/10-hour endurance race will air live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports 2.
