Watch A Twin Turbo Corvette Z06 Run An 8-Second Quarter Mile: Video

A stock Corvette Z06 is already beast… and that’s without any aftermarket modifications. Time and time again, it has proven its mettle against cars twice, and even three times its price around a track, and in the straights. And when such a vehicle is modified, it finds itself in an elite status, easily pushing output numbers into a mind-boggling four digits.

Take the Redline Motorsports Z06 for instance. This 2006 model year Corvette Z06 has been modified to produce 1,025 rear-wheel-horsepower, accompanied by 995 rear-wheel pound-feet of torque, all thanks to a pair of twin intercooled GT35R turbos. Redline also threw in a built 4L80E automatic transmission to handle all of that force, sending the power to Mickey Thompson drag radials.

All of that equates to the ability to run an 8.69 quarter mile with a trap speed of 159 miles per hour, and it doesn’t even look like it’s trying. Watch below.
