Here Are The Ten Official Colors Of The 2014 Corvette Stingray

When the 2014 Chevy Corvette launches in the third quarter of 2013, it will be offered in ten different colors, just as the C6 is today. However, some of the colors offerred on the C7 will differ from those seen on the C6. Most notably, Supersonic Blue Metallic and Inferno Orange Metallic will not be available on the C7, while Laguna Blue Tintcoat and Lime Rock Green will find a new place on the palette.

We especially lament the loss of Inferno Orange and question the decision to add a dark green to the Corvette color wheel. In fact, we’d rather see more exciting colors in the Corvette lineup in general.

Keeping in mind that the mix may change over time, here are the launch colors of the 2014 Vette:

  10. Am I the only one who sees some Pontiac Solstice coupe and Saturn Sky in this new design?

    1. Yes you are. Who in their right mind would compare a Vette to a sky or solstice.

  11. I would love to have a blue one but I don’t know. Black can look so sinister, and I am very attracted to that! I love the responses I get when people ask me who’s car that is and I tell them it’s mine. I guess they don’t expect a girl to drive a car that looks mean. =)

  12. Hunter, yes you are the only one… Seriously…

  15. When can we order them? I had a supersonic blue 2012. I think red and black are the sharpest but I’ll go with a night race blue one. I’m looking forward to driving off in this wonderful new car.

  21. Velocity Yellow for me. Unfourtunate for them getting rid of Inferno Orange as that is my all time favourite colour on the C6.

    1. Right there with you, @chevyothemax. Would rather have an Orange one. Here’s to hoping for a 2015 addition to the color palette… Which isn’t likely… but one can hope, right?

    2. I looked at an orange Scion FRS a few months ago and have to agree it stood out from the others and they don’t come in yellow. That was before the new Corvette launched.

  22. I’ll order the lime rock green with tan interior and black wheels. Go Pack!! 🙂

  23. Not to many Velocity Yellow fans – good – mine will stand out even more in the crowd. Blue, white and green are doing well, but not red. What gives here or do people believe the police pull over more of the red sport cars? No matter what the skin color, I’m going to be thrilled to see any color C7 on the street. That option list should diversify our choice somewhat and the aftermarket crowd is sure to come up with more then a few good ideas.

  24. My color choice before the launch was Silver Blade Metallic. However, when the design was revealed, we found that the vents on all surfaces are black regardless of body color. The contrast detracts from the overall look in the lighter paint choices. Options: 1.Go with a darker color (my choice -Night Race Blue). 2. Have a professional body shop remove and repaint the vents in the body color.

  25. I like the Aston Martin Blue (Laguna), but the orange is just pure glory. Why, why would GM ditch the orange?

  28. Congratulations on what seems like a very long due decision to incorporate
a new green tone into the 2014 Corvette. This single tone alternative is better
than nothing but here again the very same complaint: why GM insist on limiting
green tones only to darker shades when there are so many enthusiasts who would
back a very well-thought pastel green tone. Why not incorporate the very same
pastel green tone seen below on the Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser’s cap lid?
I am sure this tone would look very sharp if done in a pearlescent effect. Here is a photo:

  30. I think they missed the boat. If they were going to offer a green, how about the Synergy Green? Would show off the lines of the car beautifully!
Leaning towards Laguna Blue or Cyber Gray Metallic myself!

  31. When will new colors (other than the ten listed) for the Stingray be released? I would like an Atomic Orange but BG QC mgr says no way to do It. Will it be the in fall of 2014?

    Thank you

  32. After going to a number of sites, which refer to the C7 in various ways, I find that the Z51 has almost the exact peformance numbers as the non-Z51 in the 1/4 mile, It leads me to believe that the 2800.00 more dollars that the Zr1 costs, does nothing to enhance power. Am I wrong. Lynn Johnson
