After being crowned Europe’s 2012 Car of the Year, the ChevyVolt’s sibling, the Opel/Vauxhall Ampera has taken home the checkered flag at the “Rallye Monte-Carlo Des Énergies Nouvelles,” that’s gibberish for the International Monte Carlo Rally, more specifically, the alternative fuel category.
Four of the seven Amperas that were entered ranked among the top 10 vehicles, but it was the French duo Bernard Darniche and Joseph Lambert that managed to beat the entire field. This included cars such as the Renault Fluence Z.E., a Tesla Roadster sports car, a Mitsubishi I-MiEV and a Peugeot Ion. In total, around130 competitors from about 30 manufacturers took part.

Come on, Caddy ELR… We are waiting patiently!
Yea, the ELR should wipe away the other competitors, including the volt.
Hopefully no one thinks since it beat the Tesla that it is some sort of gas guzzling racecar.
