For those of you that have been kept awake at night by the black-eyed stare of the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition, this one is for you. According to reports, the limited edition 505 hp, LS7-powered Porsche-eater will have a starting MSRP of $90,960 ($99,925 with all of the options.)
While the Z06 Carbon is not the top-tier, 638 hp ZR1, they still have a lot in common. The Carbon will be sporting the same chassis and Brembo brake package seen on the ZR1, as well as Magnetic Ride Control.
Exclusive to the Carbon are its smokey black headlights and the even darker wheels that give the car arguably the most aggressive look out of all the Corvette offerings. The ground effects are also black, as seen with both the splitter and the rocker panels. And while the Z06 Carbon may not be as fast (or as expensive) as the ZR1, only 500 of them will grace the streets — making them very exclusive and a true collector’s item.
