Chevrolet first introduced the value-oriented 2018 Tahoe Custom last year, but the brand has followed the model up with the 2018 Tahoe Custom Midnight. Chevy revealed the blacked-out SUV on Tuesday, which adds a handful of black elements without breaking the bank.
Previously, customers had to select the LT or Z71 model to gain access to the Tahoe Midnight edition goodies, but the Tahoe Custom Midnight, based on the LS trim, keeps things affordable at $45,995. That’s just $1,000 more than the regular Tahoe Custom.
Included with the Tahoe Custom Midnight are 18-inch painted black wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, a black grille, off-road assist steps and black bowtie emblems—all the typical black-out elements. Like the Tahoe Custom, the Custom Midnight also forgoes the third-row seats for extra cargo space, and the SUV comes pretty well equipped. Standard features include an 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 4G LTE-enabled Wi-Fi capability, a rearview camera and remote start.
No matter which Tahoe Custom Midnight a buyer selects, GM’s 5.3-liter V8 engine will provide power—355 horsepower worth. Buyers may select two- or four-wheel drive as well. Look for the blacked-out SUV to hit dealers this spring.

Another boring appearance package.
$1000, for a few blacked out bowties and inner grill trim and wheels? As if I can’t replicate the same boring look with rattle-can paint and blacked out badges on eBay for less than $200?
Come on GM, you dominate the fullsize SUV market as it is, but half assed stuff like this will have next to no affect on growing your dominance in the segment.
