The first production, and last production unit of anything is always enough to perk up a collector’s ears. We’d say that’s especially true when it comes to Corvettes since the nameplate retains such an avid enthusiast base.
Now, there’s yet another milestone Corvette for sale: the final C5 Corvette ever built before the C6 generation of Corvette went into production. How much will it set you back? A cool $1 million.
Why such a high asking price? Well, as mentioned, the fact it is the last C5 Corvette ever built helps, per the build sheet stamped with a July 1, 2004, assembly date. However, it’s never actually been registered either. Just 29 miles are on the odometer and every piece of plastic and factory seal is still in place. It’s probably the closest anyone will get to a “new” C5 Corvette.
The Corvette currently resides at the National Corvette Museum, but is available for purchase through Buyavette.
