As its official debut approaches, it looks to be that images of the 2018 Buick Regal GS have been leaked. At least, more photos of the Chinese-spec model.
There are two photos; one of the interior and one of the exterior. The interior shot unveils a flat-bottom steering wheel as well as subtle, red stitching accents throughout. Maybe it’s just infatuation, but to us it looks like a lovely cabin to spend time in, especially during long journeys.
The exterior shot shows the China-spec Regal GS in a stunningly handsome blue finish, which really highlights the cosmetic enhancements made to the performance Regal variant. As we’ve observed before, the aggressive ground effects, sculpted front and rear fascias and five-spoke wheels with red brake calipers give the car a much sportier look.
Unfortunately we haven’t learned any new information or performance figures, though we’ve already seen reports that claim the North American 2018 Regal GS will be powered by a 310-horsepower 3.6-liter V6. Reports also indicated that China would see its GS unveiled at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show, which didn’t turn out to be true, so we’ll take each rumor with a grain of salt.
Be sure to tune in later this week for the official debut of the US-market 2018 Buick Regal GS.

Buick Regal GS – love it.
Holden Commodore – hate it.
That looks odd… is this photoshopped? In the front, where the grill meets the headlight, it looks different from all the photos so far (non-GS, as well as the earlier supposed GS, the white-colored one here http://gmauthority.com/blog/2017/07/buick-regal-gs-tipped-to-arrive-with-310-hp-v6-engine-by-brands-publication/#comment-709023).
looks like it could be. If you zoom in on the headlight theres a weird …something… (idk what to call it) at the bottom mid point that sticks out onto the bumper
Not photoshopped. It’s based on the Opal Insignia GS which has been out for quite some time. A quick google image search will show you the exact same grill and headlight shape. In fact, the front end looks almost identical except for the air intakes and the lower lip.
They are referring to the lump between the headlight and grill. It is not there on the production car nor the earlier leaked GS images. Just a poor photoshop.
I like it
Why in the Chinese model Ragal you can have Cooled seats and in the Opel but the NA Regal doesn’t offer this hugely popular option. GM sometimes never seems to amaze me.
For Greg who thinks the Regal is a better vehicle than the Holden Commodore….Check resales values for each car in a few years! Last time I checked, the most recent rendition of Regal GS has a terrible resale value. Check out resale value for Chevy SS and rethink your statement.
Where in my post did I say the Regal is a better vehicle than Commodore?
By the way, I’m an owner of a 2017 SS.
I hope it’s not gonna be one of those where black is the only color for the interior. Same thing goes for those black wheels.
Didn’t we already know this.. China’s version of the Buick Regal would have a conventional C-pillar while the US version would be different with a sport-back a couple of months ago.
Be sure to tune in later this week for the official debut of the US-market 2018 Buick Regal GS.
Is there a specific date/time/video presentation for this event? Will complete details be revealed, ie. standard features,
option(s), option packages? I’d like to know so that I will watch for it and not miss it, thanks.
Yeah what he ( JOE ) said.
