2013 Chevrolet Volt Gets A Regular Car Review: Video

The first-generation Chevrolet Volt never turned out to be the big game changer General Motors likely thought it would be, but it’s a pretty solid car and accomplishes what it sets out to do. Ask our own Manoli Katakis—he’s on his second Volt.

However, all bets are off when someone like Mr. Regular gets behind the wheel of a car. This time, it’s a 2013 Chevrolet Volt. And he echoes our sentiment: it’s a solid car.

Sure, it takes premium fuel and the interior has its own separate quirks, but it’s efficient, and the owner says it’s the most reliable used car he’s ever owned. Never mind the Volt basically bricked itself when Regular Car Reviews began its filming. Turns out the car threw a Stabilitrak code and it left the car permanently in “Park.” Jumping the car and clearing the code fixed it for good though.

So buckle in for a few laughs inappropriate jokes and a little bit of used car sentiment surrounding the 2013 Volt.

  1. All those people who think Donald Trump is a devil and needs to be impeached when he withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Accord should know two things.. Barack Obama broke US Constitutional Law when he signed the Paris Climate Accord without presenting the International Treaty to Congress for their approval before signing (and could have been impeached); secondly.. why isn’t the Chevrolet Volt among the top 10 in sales if they’re really worried about the environment.

    1. i agree with you about the current volt. i think it is the perfect green car going. 50+ ev range and no range anxiety with the gasoline engine.

in all of the uproar about trump pulling out of the paris climate agreement, this is the first time i’ve ever heard anyone suggest that obama broke the law by signing on to it.

as i understand it, the agreement sets goals. every country decides how they want to achieve those goals. if a country doesn’t meet those goals, there aren’t any penalties.

if obama could’ve been impeached, i have no doubt republicans would’ve tried to do just that.

  2. Obama signed the Paris Climate Accord using executive action so he didn’t bind the state and that’s why Trump could pull us out so easily. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_executive_actions_by_Donald_Trump

The Volt I don’t think GM ever thought that it would be a top seller but, it’s a killer deal in the used car market that’s for sure they have the Cruze for that.
