GM Expands ‘Take 2’ Career Re-Entry Program To New Roles

General Motors is expanding its horizons for individuals looking to re-enter the workforce under various roles within its organization. The Take 2 career program was launched to help those looking for a new start find their grounding in engineering and technology roles, but GM has expanded the program to new areas.

Joining vehicle engineering, global propulsion systems, information technology and manufacturing engineering roles are customer care and aftersales, global finance and manufacturing positions for the program.

“General Motors has the fastest-scaling program of any of our member companies”, said Carol Fishman Cohen, iRelaunch CEO and co-founder. “GM is fully embracing the Take 2 concept and is reaping the benefits of tapping into this population of experienced professionals who have stepped away from their careers for various reasons.”

The program takes professionals through a 12-week “audition” to prepare interns for a full-time career with many joining GM full-time after the program concludes.

The spring program positions will be posted tomorrow, January 6, 2017, and will cover various areas in the U.S. including Michigan, Atlanta and Texas. Those interested can follow the link here to apply.
