Corvette Racing’s Doug Fehan On Autoline After Hours Podcast: Video

If you’re a racing fan, Corvette Racing program manager would be a great person to sit down for a chat with. We think the longtime team boss would have an infinite amount of interesting motorsports anecdotes, which is why we highly urge you to listen to what he had to say when he recently appeared on the Autoline After Hours podcast.

Corvette Racing is currently gearing up to defend its GTE Pro class victory at the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans. The team will have its hands full this year with Ford entering four of its competitive Ford GTs, but Fehan knows his team’s wealth of Le Mans experience is invaluable. He also knows they are more prepared than any other GTE team, saying that they act as a “red cross” for when other teams run short on parts, tools or other supplies.

Fehan also discusses American racing teams competing at Le Mans, how the French and other race fans view the Corvette and the controversial Porsche punt at Long Beach, as well as much more. Listen to show embedded above and be sure to follow GM Authority as Corvette Racing competes in this year’s edition of the LM24 on June 18 and 19.

Sam loves to write and has a passion for auto racing, karting and performance driving of all types.

  1. i own a 2015 Z06 and thought i knew everything about it but again i am wrong. Doug really did a great job of explaining le mans and especially about the 8spd paddle shift which i have. I knew it is faster than a standard with clutches but did not know it was twice as fast as porscha. My 08 had a 6spd paddle shift too. Both vettes are excellent runners. I do not go out on the street to break laws but i dont baby them either. I have over 18,000 miles in a year on my new Z06. I traveled over 8,000 miles the first three weeks in november and never stopped for a motel. I only stopped for food, gas and bathroom breaks. I did sleep a few hours in the vette here or there but to be fair, i dont sleep much at my apartment either. I have severe pain from a back injury and nerve dsmage from agent orange from vietnam. Ive had seven surgeries for nerve damage and am told i could end up in a wheelchair any minute so i drive this Z06 as much as i can and it and my 08 Z51 are the most comfo re table vehicles i have ever driven. Great cars.
