Check Out The 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am From The Lingenfelter Collection: Video

The latest from the Lingenfelter Collection is this absolutely mint 1989 20th Anniversary Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. More impressive than its looks, though, is whats laying under the hood.

It’s the same power plant you’ll find under the hood of a Buick Grand National; a turbocharged 3.8L V6. However, some modifications were made to get the engine to fit. For instance, different engine heads were engineered so that the engine could fit in between the strut towers of the Trans Am. Other changes included a cross-drilled crank, 12-inch GNX-styled intercooler, spec-built stainless steel headers, high-pressure Bosch fuel regulator, and a re-tuned ECU.

As for visuals, the 20th Anniversary packaged TAs have small cues that set them apart from the rest. Such features include dual twin stainless steel exhaust tips, Indie Wing Tire emblems behind the front wheel well, and Turbo emblems on the fenders.

We’ll end it at that and save some for video host Ryan Cykiert. So kick back, relax, and enjoy the short video.
