If you’ve been keeping up with the development of the 2015 Corvette Z06, you know it was created concurrently with the Corvette Racing C7.R. Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechner says the Corvette development team has “broken down the walls between the production car team and the race team,” and that technology transfer shows.
Of course, the Z06 has yet to hit the streets, but with the preliminary performance reviews for the most super of C7s, it stands to reason that both it and the C7.R were cut from the same cloth. The C7.R has enjoyed success in its first season with four wins − a preface of what we can expect when the 2015 Z06 hits the street. “Everywhere you look, you see technology transfer from the race program straight onto the street car − from aerodynamics to use of materials like carbon fiber.” The result is a structure that’s lighter and stiffer in aluminum, although special mention should go to Michelin’s tire technology for harnessing it all.
Take a look at the below video to learn more about the technology transfer between the two cars and how this partnership is breaking down the walls between track and street.

I’m not seeing the Videos you mention in your info. Thanks
It works for me, but you can view it here:
At 1:34 on Tadge’s shirt, it say GTO.. Is the a rebirth to the GTO?
Don’t get some started on bringing Pontiac back let alone the GTO.
His shirt says GTS which is the class the Corvette team has been involved with over the years.
Note the Jake on the shirt that is one of the team shirts the Vette team has use. I have several hats and shirts with GTS on them too.
