Vauxhall Is Bringing Art And Engineering Together Again

Have you ever wanted to just let loose and paint a car as if it was a blank canvas? That’s exactly what Vauxhall is doing this year, and it isn’t the first time. It’s called the Art Car Boot Fair.

The first stop hit London this past weekend, and Liverpool and Folkestone are up next. It features The Go Forth Plinth, Art Cargo, and Art Canvas. The Go Forth Plinth involved a multitude of Vauxhalls. Here, artists displayed a piece of their own artwork atop the roof of a Vauxhall. The Art Cargo took to the interior by simply equipping a Vivaro with enough art supplies to open a small shop. The supplies will be used to create various works, which will appear in Liverpool and Folkestone.

The Art Canvas is the fun one. You can probably guess what it is already. Cars are the subject of decoration here, and what is done to it is up to the visitors. If you live in the area of either Liverpool or Folkestone, the cost of admission is only three quid, and the dates are July 5 and August 31, respectively. We would say the three pounds is worth it solely for getting to throw paint on a car, but there are plenty of works on sale ranging from ten pounds to a thousand. Who knows? You might get a cool design idea for your own car, too.
