Watch A C6 Z06 Serve As Training Wheels At The Ron Fellows Performance Driving School

Apparently, Chevy sent one lucky lad to the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain Resorts (about an hour west of Las Vegas) to learn how to drive a racecar. And it just to happened that the racecar in question was none other than a C6 Corvette Z06.

At the experienced direction of Ron Fellows Chief Driving Instructor Rick Malone, the student — Greg — performed all kinds of driving exercises, including heel-toe downshift, dry handling oval exercise, and the wet figure 8 exercise — all to improve his ability to control the car. Once all that was out of the way, it was time to hit the track:

Hey Chevy — we wouldn’t mind a day at the track with a professional driving instructor either. Just saying.

  1. As I look back, one of the things I will always regret is not taking advantage of the free Fellows or Barber driving school that came with my new C6. Even with a year to manage it, I just couldn’t swing it at the time. Sad, I am.
