Automotive enthusiasts in West Virginia may have likely heard of HyperFest, an annual event at Summit Point Motorsports Park that features everything from karting, to off-road racing, to road racing and even drift racing. There’s even a rollover contest. Needless to say, the event is very hardcore. Surprisingly, there’s no competition for deer ramming. But if there was, we’re pretty sure James Greenwood and is Corvette Z06 would take home gold, silver, and bronze along with a freezer full of meat.
During what looks to be any other road course event, Greenwood was powering down the start/finish straight, passing lesser vehicles when suddenly, BANG! His Z06 found itself colliding unavoidably into a deer at wide open throttle. Greenwood walked away from the incident without a scratch, but the ‘Vette will be spending a few nights in the shop.
In the video’s caption on YouTube, Greenwood said “the HyperFest emcee told ten thousand Hillbillians that I was responsible for the thirty minute Daisy Duke delay.” Have a look for yourself. If you’re squeamish, don’t worry, there’s no blood.

Why did the deer cross the road? We’ll never know. Next time use a Freightliner.
That gave me visceral pain. Ugh. I may have nightmares……
Oh dear!
