Play Ball! Chevy Fountain Gets Ready For Detroit Tigers Opening Day

After owner Mike Illitch signed 1st baseman and all-star slugger Prince Fielder to a 9 year, $214 million contract to the Detroit Tigers — the 4th largest contract in baseball history, the atmosphere around Detroit has seemingly been World Series, or bust. And with Opening Day happening tomorrow (Thursday) against the Boston Red Sox, the Chevrolet Fountain is getting ready to catch some home runs from Fielder (and Cabrera, and Boesch, and Avila, and Rayburn, and friends).

Being placed on the massive fountain for the 2012 season will be the 2013 Chevy Malibu Eco and Camaro. The two cars were delivered by crane yesterday to their perches, high above centerfield, with the beautiful Detroit skyline just behind them. Go Tigers!
