The 2022 Chevy Blazer will be $200 more expensive going forward.
Like it did with the 2022 Chevy Camaro earlier this month, GM has raised the destination freight charge for the 2022 Chevy Blazer by $200 from $1,195 to $1,395. This will, in effect, make the Blazer $200 more expensive across the board regardless of the trim level chosen.
The Chevy Blazer isn’t the only GM vehicle to have received a destination charge increase, with the Chevy Camaro, Corvette, Equinox, Express, Malibu, Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse and Silverado 1500 and Silverado HD also the recent recipients of similar changes.

With this recent price increase, the 2022 Chevy Blazer in the entry-level 2LT trim level with the standard turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine and front-wheel-drive is priced from $34,795 including the destination freight charge. The 3LT with the standard 2.0L engine and FWD now starts at $38,995, while the sporty RS trim level with the standard 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine and FWD is priced from $42,495. The range-topping Premier with the 2.0L engine and FWD is now priced from $42,495 as well.
Production of the 2023 Chevy Blazer will begin on August 1st, as we reported previously. Production of the refreshed crossover was initially scheduled to kick off July 11th, however GM was forced to push the start date back for unknown reasons. Just as with the 2022 model year Chevy Blazer, production will take place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
The refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer introduces mild styling revisions to the front and rear fasciae, including reshaped LED daytime running lamps, different taillights, a new grille design, new wheel designs and a different exhaust treatment. Several new exterior colors will also be added to the Blazer’s order books for the 2023MY, including Fountain Blue, Sterling Gray Metallic, Copper Bronze Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. Inside, the crossover has received a new 10-inch diagonal color touchscreen, which is standard across all trim levels.
Under the hood, the 2023 Chevy Blazer features the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, as well as the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, which is rated at 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Under its newly restyled body panels, the mid-size crossover rides on the GM C1 platform.

GM has freight? Who knew. They want dealers to go pick them up.
GM has raised the price of the Blazer far more then $200. I currently have a 2019 Blazer LT2, AWD with a V6 engine. If I want to upgrade to a 2022 with the same features as my 2019 I would have to upgrade to the LT3 because the V6 engine is no longer available in the 2022 LT2 and that price increase comes in at a $6,000 price increase. Once again GM you have made a once affordable vehicle totally UNAFFORDABLE now.
GM's dream is to strip a vehicle of every conceivable feature and still charge an absurdly uncompetitive price for it. But, if the market will bear it, they will continue to do it. My sister has a 2020 Blazer RS that stickered over $51K and at that price, the interior is laughable.
