Chevrolet Argentina sales increased dramatically in April, marking the second consecutive month that the brand has recorded an uptick in the Argentine market after a healthy 37 percent increase in March. The massive, triple-digit increase in April is due to the fact that April 2020 was the first full month of COVID-19 lockdown in the South American country, a period during which time dealerships were closed and attempted to make only-online sales. As a result, April 2020 presented presented a naturally reduced volume upon which the sales figures compared.
As a result, practically all of brand’s models registered notable growth in April, with the exception of the Chevrolet Camaro, which continued to post zero sales, and the discontinued Prisma sedan. The most significant performance was recorded by the Onix, Cruze and Tracker, which consolidate their spots as the three best-selling Chevrolet vehicles in Argentina.
Meanwhile, the Chevrolet S10 midsize pickup also saw important growth, posting the highest monthly figure thus far this year.
At a time of year when luxury car ATP usually rises.
