General Motors unveiled the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali in October of 2022, introducing the range-topping trim of the all-electric GMC Sierra lineup with over 750 horsepower and an estimated range-per-charge of 400 miles. Fast forward to October of this year, and GM announced that it will delay the launch of three of all-electric products, including the GMC Sierra EV Denali. Now, GM has announced when the all-electric GMC Sierra Denali is scheduled to launch.
According to GM, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali is now scheduled to launch during the Summer of the 2024 calendar year. The all-electric pickup was initially scheduled for an early 2024 release, but the launch was later pushed back by a few months.
Back in October of 2023, GM announced that was delaying the launch of the GMC Sierra EV Denali, Chevy Silverado EV RST, and Chevy Equinox EV. The announcement was made by GM CEO Mary Barra in conjunction with the release of GM’s third-quarter earnings report and updated 2023 financial guidance.
“The [software organization] team is optimizing the software strategy in fine-tuning the plans for our new vehicles to help make sure we execute with the highest possible quality and customer experience while positioning the company to drive significant revenue growth from subscriptions in the future,” Barra said this past October.
The 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 is the range-topping trim level of the all-electric GMC Sierra lineup, boasting 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque in Max Power mode, sending the pickup from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds, with range-per-charge estimated at 400 miles. Under the skin, the GMC Sierra EV rides on the GM BT1 platform, while GM Ultium battery tech and GM Ultium drive motor tech provide the motivation.
Production will take place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan, as well as GM’s Lake Orion plant in the future.

So many GM planning mistakes here; the market doesn't want subscriptions - if I want heated seats I'll buy it once, GM can barely build any EV's and the market is limited for $100K electric trucks that get announced years before availability.
GM should focus on cheaper EV's including a small or mid sized truck and back away from subscription plans for car features. And in the same vein, kill off or re-architect Onstar. I'm not paying more than $5 a month for another cell service when I already have a mobile phone, yea having a stolen vehicle locator is nice but not at the prices they ask.
My guess is there is a legit software bug, and they are adding the 'feature' to make it sound legit.
They have the Blazer EV so they do have something shipping. I think they are having issues with pack production that is starting to get rectified.
Apparently, Mary B. has never heard of underpromise/overdeliver
Do real people want an electric truck to tow their camper up to the top of a mountain ?
I will ride a bicycle before I ever pay GM (Greedy Mary) one penny in subscription fees.
