As the third generation of Big Red’s midsize pickup truck, the all-new 2023 GMC Canyon introduces a bevy of exterior enhancements, interior updates and powertrain revisions. As the first model year of the new generation, the 2023 Canyon also introduces a few notable features and accessories, like the new MultiStow tailgate. Now, General Motors offers a stereo system intended to sit snugly inside said tailgate.
Likely serving to improve the overall tailgating experience, this new $819 Kicker audio system is equipped with Bluetooth, and is completely independent from the interior audio system. Waterproof as well, this accessory kit includes the speakers, all the necessary equipment for installation, and a link to the instructions.
For reference, the 2023 Canyon’s MultiStow tailgate feature is designed as a built-in storage solution capable of carrying a wide variety of items, including this new audio system. The storage compartment itself is 45 inches wide and 4 inches deep, and includes a lockable lid. The compartment is also watertight and includes a drain, making it a great place to store any cold beverages.
It’s worth noting that The General also offers a similar audio system for the 2023 Chevy Colorado. In fact, the GMC MultiStow tailgate and the Chevy StowFlex tailgate are very comparable to each other.
As a reminder, the 2023 GMC Canyon is offered with a single powertrain configuration, the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine. Only available in the High Output tune, this powerplant develops 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. RWD is standard on the starting Elevation trim level, while 4WD is available on the Elevation and standard on AT4, AT4X and Denali trims.
Under the skin, the all-new Canyon rides on an updated variant of the GMT 31XX platform, which it shares with the 2023 Chevy Colorado. Meanwhile, production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

Nice little feature, but doesn't look too powerful?!?
MAN, the Grey Canyon is menacing looking in that photo above. GMC hit it out the park with the looks of this truck. Hopefully it outperforms the new Ranger
I like to see GM price tag for bluetooth speaker for 60$, other than that is just pure garbage something what nobody asking for, and copying honda w tailgate speakers its not too smart idea!!!! But what we expecting from gm engineers, till today they don't know how to build engine what survive warranty period
