2023 Cadillac CT4-V Driver Assist Package To Become Optional Again

The 2023 Cadillac CT4 is the fourth model year of the first-gen luxury sedan nameplate, with the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V once again offered as a go-faster variant that slots above the CT4 Sport and below the CT4-V Blackwing with regard to the CT4 performance hierarchy. Now, GM Authority has learned that the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Driver Assist Package is once again available as an optional extra.

Notably, the Driver Assist Package was previously optional for the 2020 Cadillac CT4-V and 2021 Cadillac CT4-V. However, the package was later made standard with the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V. Now, the Driver Assist Package is once again offered as optional for the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V.

The Driver Assist Package for the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V is tagged with RPO code Y5Y, and bundles together the following features (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

• Adaptive Cruise Control (KSG)
• Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (UGN)
• Reverse Automatic Braking (UVZ)

It should also be mentioned that the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing offered the Driver Assist Package as an optional extra, but only in conjunction with the optional 10-speed automatic transmission. The package was not available in conjunction with the CT4-V Blackwing’s standard six-speed manual transmission. Under the hood, the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is equipped with the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque.

As for the non-Blackwing Cadillac CT4-V, motivation is sourced from the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, which is rated at 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Output is directed through the standard GM 10-speed automatic transmission, with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive available to put it to the pavement. Under the skin is the GM Alpha 2 platform. Vehicle units are built at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan, with 2023-model-year production kicking off in July.
