Cadillac Canada sales increased 85 percent to 3,753 units during the first quarter of 2021 which, according to GM Canada, is the brand’s best Q1 result ever, beating the previous record set way back in 1979.
Individual model sales performance was as follows:
MODEL | Q1 2021 / Q1 2020 | Q1 2021 | Q1 2020 |
---|---|---|---|
CT4 | * | 198 | * |
CT5 | +233.67% | 297 | 89 |
CTS | -86.46% | 5 | 37 |
ESCALADE | +126.37% | 498 | 220 |
ESCALADE ESV | +80.02% | 180 | 100 |
XT4 | +47.48% | 935 | 634 |
XT5 | +83.67% | 1,181 | 643 |
XT6 | +91.60% | 456 | 238 |
XTS | -75.00% | 3 | 12 |
CADILLAC TOTAL | +84.88% | 3,753 | 2,030 |
Cadillac Canada sales saw an impressive increase during the first quarter of 2021. Not only does this performance represent the third consecutive quarter that Cadillac sales have increased in the Canadian market, but it beat the brand’s previous Q1 record that was set 42 years ago, when it was selling passengers cars such as the Seville, the Coupe de Ville, the Sedan de Ville, the Brougham and the Eldorado.
Thanks to these sales increases of the past three quarters (Q3 and Q4 2020, and Q1 2021), Cadillac can claim to be the fastest-growing luxury brand in the country.
The sales increases were reflected across Cadillac’s current lineup in Canada, with double- and even triple-digit gains in some cases. The Cadillac XT5 picked up where it left off at the end of 2020 as the brand’s best-selling model overall, with a year-over-year sales jump of 84 percent, while the XT6 enjoyed an increase of 92 percent and the XT4 saw its sales rise by 47 percent compared to Q1 2020. In fact, the only models with sales decreases were the discontinued CTS and XTS sedan.
As for the all-new Cadillac Escalade, sales more than doubled compared to the first quarter of 2020, with a total of 678 deliveries combined the regular and extended Escalade ESV variants, and the automaker can hardly keep with consumer demand.
Sales decreased 5.6 percent to 16,670 units during the first ten months of 2024.
Specifically critical minerals supply chain development.
Scheduled for a Spring 2025 launch.
Horsepower and grip take the win.

A special thanks to our smart Canadian neighbors for buying Cadillac and setting a sales record.
No, no Cadillac is supposed to do terribly in Canada. Where's the usual suspects?.
I would love to know what is behind this sudden rocketing. You think because of new entries of CT5, CT4 and Escalade, but no, from the data, it seems it's across to board, for instance what sparked XT5 sales, midlife update? I don't think so, it was not that dramatic. I just wanna be sure there is no catch , something like a fire sale.
the lineup and naming convention finally make some kind of sense? It's almost rational enough now that consumers can figure it out. Who knew that naming vehicles in order of size could be so effective. Oh, everybody?
Maybe the Canadian luxury buyer is significantly different (better, haha) than we German-addicted Americans, and appreciates the overall package Cadillac delivers.
german cars sells like hot cakes in canada, canadians are american wannabes
Jesus, you completely missed the point.
When will the 2022 ct5v be out ?
full line-up (including blackwings) + nice dealer (different kinds of financing) = sales in Europe too. Meanwhile GM shows it's customers and dealers middle finger by offering only XT4 and saying 'wait for EVs'. :(
