Cadillac Racing Drivers Take 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Precision Pack For A Spin In Daytona: Video

Cadillac has posted a new video showing the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing out on the racetrack, strutting its stuff thanks to a pair of racing drivers behind the wheel and the new Precision Pack on board.

The video is a little over two minutes long and features Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing’s Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque, who put the high-performance four-door through its paces at Daytona International Speedway.

After the two pro drivers climb into the cabin, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is brought to life, giving us an earful of the supercharged V8 rumble through a quartet of exhaust outlets. The drivers immediately seem impressed, revving the V8 with joy.

“Oh, the blip is nice,” Taylor says as he downshifts.

As one might expect, things escalate quickly, and before the long, the pair are having some fun unleashing the fastest, most track-capable production Cadillac ever made.

Later on, the pair praise the car’s tactile, hands-on feel.

“The ease of the shifting is so crisp,” Taylor says. “It gives you that sensation that you kind of grow up with, of having all of the inputs coming from the driver rather than the car doing everything.”

Meanwhile, Albuquerque gives a nod to the interior.

“The seats are impressive, when you look [at] the carbon, it looks aggressive,” Albuquerque says.

“It’s just beautiful,” Albuquerque adds. “It’s a proper Cadillac.”

As covered previously, the Precision Package is a new addition to the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing options list, released in conjunction with the super sedan’s 2025-model-year refresh. Designed specifically for those owners eager to take their ride to the race track, the Precision Package adds increased spring rates, a larger front stabilizer bar, new suspension bushings, new steering knuckles and new rear toe links, as well as new tuning for the MagneRide dampers, steering, chassis control, and electronic limited-slip differential. A set of carbon ceramic brakes rounds it out.

Cadillac developed the new 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package from a desire to “play to win.” Check out our previous coverage for more information.

As a reminder, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing features the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine for motivation, rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. Under the skin, you’ll find the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
