2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package To Be Available In Either Manual Or Auto

In January, GM finally revealed the fully refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. Then last month, the Precision Package was announced to morph the CT5-V Blackwing into an even more potent track weapon. A bigger question loomed as to whether this package would be restricted to the standard six-speed manual transmission, or it would also be available with the GM 10-speed automatic, and GM Authority now has the answer.

During a recent interview with GM Authority Executive Editor, Alex Luft, Cadillac’s executive chief engineer, Brandon Vivian, confirmed that the new Precision Pack can be had with either the manual or automatic.

As a reminder, the CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package includes increased spring rates, revised suspension bushings, a larger front stabilizer bar, new steering knuckles in front, new tow links in rear, and carbon ceramic brakes.

In addition, the Magnetic Ride Control dampers, steering system, chassis control settings, and electronic limited slip differential are recalibrated for greater performance. Cadillac says this pack will “improve path precision and increase corner speeds for the discerning driving enthusiast” for “improved steering precision into the corner apex, increased stability on corner exit and more road feel for spirited driving situations.” Naturally, this is done without compromising the luxury or refinement aspects expected from the luxury marque.

The luxury super sedan continues to be powered by the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which pushes out 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque exclusively to the rear wheels. All 2025 Cadillac CT5 variants benefit from a tweaked front end and a reworked cockpit with more tech features as standard, headlined by the curved 33-inch diagonal LED display that spans the Driver Information Center (DIC) and the center infotainment screen.

No pricing details have been announced for the Precision Package just yet, but we do know that the MSRP of the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing starts at $96,990 before options. The first units of the CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package will roll off the production line in early 2025.

As with all units of the first-generation CT5, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform and is assembled at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan for all markets except for China.
