Hedin Mobility Group Becomes Official Corvette Distributor In Europe

The eighth-generation, mid-engine Chevy Corvette has international appeal, with buyers offered a shot at ownership in several overseas markets. That includes continental Europe, where several C8 variants are available to interested customers. Originally, it was expected that European buyers could purchase the C8 through AEC Specialty Vehicles (AECSV), but now, the official distributor has changed, as late last month, Hedin Mobility Group announced that it was tapped as the official Corvette distributor for continental Europe.

“The distribution agreement marks the next step in the already established partnership with General Motors, as the official distributor of Corvette in Sweden, Norway, and Finland,” Hedin Mobility Group states. “The distributions rights for the continental European market will have immediate effect.”

In addition to distribution of the C8 in Europe, Hedin Mobility Group will also be responsible for vehicle service and the overall customer experience.

“Corvette, as a premium car brand, makes a perfect partner for us as our vision is to provide our customers with the ultimate driving experience,” said the CEO of Hedin Mobility Group, Anders Hedin. “We look forward to welcoming new and existing Corvette enthusiasts to our showrooms in continental Europe.”

Hedin Mobility Group launched C8 sales in Sweden, Norway, and Finland during the second quarter of the 2024 calendar year.

Prior to Hedin Mobility Group’s announcement, European distribution of the C8 was expected to be handled by AEC Specialty Vehicles (AECSV), an official GM distributor that handles several other high-demand GM vehicles in Europe, such as like the Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, Chevy Suburban, and Cadillac Escalade.

As covered previously, three of the four C8 variants unveiled currently will make it across the pond, namely the C8 Stingray, C8 E-Ray, and C8 Z06. That said, the new-for-2025 C8 ZR1 will not be sold in Europe, as GM Authority was the first to report.

All C8 Corvette variants ride on the GM Y2 platform, with production taking place exclusively at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky. The C8 Corvette is the first production Vette produced in right-hand-drive configurations direct from the factory.
