The 2024 Chevy Colorado represents the second model year of the Bow Tie brand’s third-generation midsize pickup truck. The new model year delivers a few notable changes over the preceding 2023 Colorado (stay tuned for a complete list). Now, GM Authority has complied all 2024 Colorado pricing details, along with options and packages.
All in, five trim levels continue to be on offer, including Work Truck (WT), LT, Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2. Starting prices for the WT, LT, Trail Boss and Z71 models are all up by $400, while the ZR2 is up only $100. Additionally, the destination freight charge is up $100 across the board to $1,595.
More specifically, LT units equipped with the TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B engine become $230 more affordable. For reference, the 2023 Colorado WT with the Turbo Plus was $34,380, or $34,775 with the Turbo High-Output (now TurboMax).
In addition, the Z71 now gets the TurboMax as standard. Last year, the 2023 Colorado Z71 was equipped as standard with the Turbo Plus, and upgrading to the Turbo High-Output (called TurboMax for 2024) brought the total to $41,790. As such, the 2024 Z71 costs only five bucks more than the 2023 Z71 with the optional High-Output engine.
Finally, the ZR2 Bison costs $60,095, or $2,505 more than the 2023 Colorado ZR2 Desert Boss Special Edition

As a reminder, Chevy Colorado is available with one of two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, or the aforementioned turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B “TurboMax” gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. All models hook up to GM’s second-generation eight-speed automatic transmission.
Under the body panels, the third-gen Colorado rides an updated variant of the GMT 31XX platform, while production for the 2024 model year commenced at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri in October 2023.

Baby steps in the right direction sans the price increases. Now if we could get an actual luxury model like a Premier or High Country trim, some better wheels on the base and LT, an additional interior color besides black, a little exterior brightwork on the LT and luxury trim, one additional bed size and an extended cab this would be a much more solid entry. I see a ton of ext cab Canyons/Colorados, Rangers, Tacomas and Frontiers so there is no excuse why GM can't offer that on the new models.
Any idea on when orders stop for a 2023 Colorado ZR2, and when they start for a 2024? Lead times?
thanks!
