GM Authority has uncovered complete pricing for the 2023 GMC Terrain compact crossover, which has received a $250 price increase across the board over the preceding 2022 model year.
Pricing for the 2023 GMC Terrain in the entry-level SLE trim level with front-wheel drive will start at $31,295, while the SLT will start at $35,295. The off-road-focused AT4 trim with standard all-wheel drive starts at $37,395, while the range-topping Denali, which is also now only offered with standard AWD, starts at $39,995. All of these prices include the mandatory $1,300 destination freight charge. All-wheel-drive can be added to the SL, SLE and SLT trim levels for a $1,600 price premium.

Only minor changes have been applied to the GMC Terrain for the 2023MY, the most significant of which is the introduction of the new turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine. This powerplant replaces the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LYX gasoline engine. Rated at 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque, the LSD pairs with the GM 9-speed automatic transmission, while the crossover sticks with the same GM D2 platform.
In addition, the 2023 GMC Terrain also receives a revised list of exterior paint options, ditching the Quicksilver Metallic, Hunter Metallic and Cayenne Red Tintcoat colors for Volcanic Red Tintcoat, Sterling Metallic and Deep Bronze Metallic. Just like the closely related 2023 Chevy Equinox, the nameplate also gets a new electro-hydraulic braking system for the 2023 model year that will replace the traditional vacuum-assisted braking system.
Production of the 2023 GMC Terrain started on August 22nd, 2022 at the GM San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico.

The Optional 495.00 Desert sand paint also forces the 995.00 Elevation package with black 19" rims and roof. Why in god's name does an already extra cost paint color force this crap on the customer if all they want is the paint? 100% ludicrous!!!!!
GM is out of their GD mind. The first manufacturers that cave and incentivize heavily across their lineups will cause this whole house of pricing cards to crumble.
GM can continue to try to command up market pricing, but in 20 years when they have 5% market share and wonder why all the kids are driving Korean — having already lost their parents this generation if they keep on this pricing path — they'll have these decisions to look back on fondly.
You seem to think that gm is the only one that has risen prices? You are out of your mind, ford has had just shy of 18,000 in price increases this year on the f150. Get real.
No. I'm talking about the fact that Kia, Toyota, Honda, Ford — heck, basically all the manufacturers — have competing vehicles in this class that start under or around $27,000. There is ZERO and I repeat, ZERO, reason for someone to consider a GMC Terrain base at $31,000+ when shopping the competition (or even cross shopping GM brands).
Anyone paying $31,000+ for a base Terrain is a moron given the available competition. Upmarket pricing on a Sierra or Yukon is one thing, but on a Terrain? Get that $#!¥ outta here, GM.
This terrain is a nice small c u v I believe they are ahead of the competition every body loves Toyota and Honda but I look at all three vehicles rav 4 crv and I few others including Kia and Hyundai and price point are not really that much difference depending what trim levels you are looking at but technologically wise I still think GM is ahead and a Toyota rav 4 loaded right up is still more expensive then a terrain denali loaded and when I close the door on the Toyota it feels like a pop can but on the terrain it feels like a little tank so did I think the imports were cheaper but quickly realized that was not true and if you compare the Hyundai Tuscan with the Terrain both in the same class u quickly realized the terrain hands downs is a better vehicle at least gm still has - nine speed transmission in there line up that CVT crap transmission never would I buy one great for snowmobiles but not on vehicles!
