Prospective buyers of the upcoming 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing can now learn more about them through Cadillac Live, as reported by our sister publication Cadillac Society.
This will make perfect sense to everyone who knows what Cadillac Live is. For those still catching up, it’s the GM luxury brand’s virtual showroom service, which launched in Canada early in 2019 and in the United States in December of the same year.
Cadillac Live users pick whichever model interests them, and are connected to a sales representative who gives them a virtual tour of that vehicle, outlining its various features and options and answering relevant questions. It’s like a dealer visit, except that the user doesn’t have to leave home (or indeed wear pants).
The Blackwing ultra-high-performance luxury sedans have only now been added to the list of Cadillac models accessible through Cadillac Live, and they will be available for viewing only for a limited time. Anyone who wants to take advantage of the facility should therefore visit the Cadillac Live web page sooner rather than later.
To maximize the potential for asking the sales representative really important questions, here are some FAQs about the Blackwing models for you to study before you make use of the service.
Q. Are they very powerful?
A. Oh, yes. The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing has a twin-turbo 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine producing 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. If that’s not enough, the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 motor in the CT5-V Blackwing is rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque.
Q. Top speeds?
A. 189 mph for the CT4-V Blackwing, and over 200 mph for the CT5-V Blackwing.
Q. They’ll take some stopping, then.
A. That shouldn’t be a problem, but there’s the option of a Brembo carbon-ceramic brake package on the CT5-V Blackwing for anyone who thinks they might need it.
Q. Do I have to change gears by myself?
A. Not necessarily. Both cars have a six-speed Tremec manual gearbox as standard, but customers can choose the optional GM 10-speed automatic if they want to.
Q. Do they have all-wheel drive?
Q. Oh. Well, thanks anyway.
A. No problem.
