The 2025 Cadillac Escalade got its big public reveal earlier this month, with the refreshed luxury icon showing off revised styling, an overhauled cabin, and a few other critical updates and changes. As GM Authority covered before, GM will increase production of the high-performance Cadillac Escalade-V in order to meet high customer demand. Now, GM Authority has learned that GM will also increase production for the Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum.
In conjunction with an increase in production of the Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum, the luxury automaker also plans to decrease production of the base-level Escalade Luxury in order to compensate for additional units of the higher trim.
Key features of the Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum include a standard 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference Surround audio system, while passengers up front enjoy full Semi-Aniline leather with perforated inserts or Mondrian quilting. The Sport Platinum also boasts 16-way power driver and front passenger heated and ventilated seats, while in the rear, passengers are engaged by a pair of 12.6-inch displays, included as part of the standard Rear Seat Entertainment system. The exterior of the Sport Platinum stands out with 22-inch 18-spoke alloy wheels featuring After Midnight premium paint and laser etching, adding to the vehicle’s eye-catching appearance.
Notably, the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine is no longer offered for the 2025 model year. As such, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine is the sole power plant for non-V-Series models in the 2025 Escalade lineup. For the Escalade-V, the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine is once again standard, delivering 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque.
All variants of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade are built on the GM T1 platform, while Escalade production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

They need to do what Ford's doing and add another plant to build trucks.
Good. Let all the morons that buy Slades (I know, there are few) and can't afford them, pay more and give the repo men more biz. The economy IS slipping, in case you live under a rock.
Not in my area, There are many. And I don't see any repo men getting them. I've spoken to my sales guy. It is not unusual for people to plunk cash for them. He had one customer buy 2 V-slades with 20K markup (that's 360) plunk cash.
Obviously u can’t afford one so stay out of others business that can
You can almost feel the green hypocrisy dripping of this truck. However, it is a stunner.
That's because they don't want to sell the base model.
Point proven; base model Escalade doesn't even have Adaptive Cruise Control. $80,000+ Cadillac and you don't have Adaptive Cruise Control, wow.
Taken from Cadillac's website. The 2025 model year Escalade Luxury under 'key standard features', one of the standard items listed is Super Cruise. I'd take this over a loaded Tahoe.
Current productions 5th gen Escalade does not offer Adaptive Cruise Control or even a sunroof option on the base model.
Correct, and the article is about 2025 MY.
Taken directly from Cadillac.com:
Super Cruise works with Adaptive Cruise Control,* which controls acceleration and braking while it is enabled and operating.
Escalades are not the cars being repo'd , the kias and mistubishis are.
