General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 last September at the 2023 Detroit Auto Show, debuting new exterior styling, an overhauled cabin, and new tech. On the tech front, the refreshed four-door now incorporates more standard safety features. With that in mind, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the advanced safety features onboard the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5.
The list of safety technology features equipped as standard on the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 includes the following (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
Some of these features are new for the 2025 model year, including Driver Attention Assist, Side Bicyclist Alert, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking.
Meanwhile, some of the features are upgrades over features equipped for the 2024 model year. For example, the 2024 Cadillac CT5 Luxury was equipped with Automatic Emergency Braking (RPO code UHY), while the Premium Luxury and Sport trims featured Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (RPO code UGN). With deletion of the base Luxury trim, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking is now equipped as standard across the line with the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5.
To note, the difference between Automatic Emergency Braking and Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking is that Automatic Emergency Braking uses camera systems to detect an imminent collision, automatically applying the brakes between 5 mph and 50 mph, whereas Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking uses both radar and cameras to detect an imminent collision, automatically applying the brakes above 2 mph.
What’s more, Blind Zone Steering Assist is an upgrade over Side Blind Zone Alert (Side Blind Zone Alert does not include steering assist), Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking is an upgrade over Front Pedestrian Braking (can now detect bicycles), and Rear Cross Traffic Braking is an upgrade over Rear Cross Traffic Alert (can now apply the brakes when detecting traffic).
It’s also worth noting that the 2025 Cadillac CT5 is equipped with the GM Super Cruise feature as standard, whereas previously, Super Cruise was optional for the 2024 model year. Super Cruise is GM’s semi-autonomous driver assist system.
As a reminder, non-V-Series variants of the Cadillac CT5 offer two engine options, specifically the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, and the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine. The GM Alpha 2 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

I had Cadi 2023 with SuperCruise2. But the dumb Cadi LKA did not work under 37mph. I got rid of it very fast. Traded it for Lincoln. Lincoln’s LKA starts working right above zero mph. Cadi and GM, when you get your LKA working above zero mph I will consider it again. Until then, Good Riddance Cadi!
This is why I am keeping my base model CT5 until it rots in half. It doesn't have any of that useless junk.
Then I looked and Cadillac doesn't offer the base model anymore, and jacked the price $9200. Smart move Cadillac. Are you trying to turn away customers?
