2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition In Black: On The Road Photos

General Motors unveiled the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show, debuting the first-ever all-electric production pickup to wear the legendary Chevy Silverado nameplate. At the time, GM unveiled two trim levels, namely the well-equipped Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition and the fleet-oriented Chevy Silverado EV WT.  Now, we’re taking another look at the Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition in the following GM Authority On The Road photo gallery.

This particular example is finished in Black paint (paint code GBA), which makes the thick Michigan road grime show up quite distinctly.

The front end also shows off the Chevy Silverado EV RST’s revised front fascia, which, as GM Authority covered previously, differs from the fascia design that was shown at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show. While the trademark top lighting line is present and accounted for, the lower fascia was revised to include a new lower bumper treatment with a broader air intake. The intake once again incorporates a familiar hexagonal insert, but looks to be wider and taller than the intake shown initially. This model also shows a black Bow Tie emblem mounted centrally on the upper grille plate.

Viewed from the side, this 2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST shows off the usual black detailing and a Silverado EV badge lower in the door. The badge includes blue lettering for the “E” in Silverado. In the corners, this pickup is rolling on a set of large alloy wheels with a silver finish, while the step-ups appear to be missing a few bits of body trim. Also notable are stickers placed on the charge port and the sail panel, which could indicate where this model was tested, similar to stickers placed on a GMC Hummer EV spotted previously.

Finally, the rear end finishes it off with black taillight housings with red and silver inner graphics. The rear Chevy badge is also done in black.

As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST is rated at 754 horsepower thanks to a set of GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors. Range per charge is estimated at 450 miles, while under the skin, the Silverado EV rides on the GM BT1 platform. Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

  • Mary's fake 'multi $billion' truck sold a whopping 18 units in the third quarter. Would love GMA to do a comparison on major auto makers, to see if any one of them has a worse record of producing and selling EV's - you know - Mary's stated number one priority.
Most likely those Flop-erado numbers will triple in the fourth quarter.

  • I would be real interested to know how much the 450 mile capacity lowers when pulling a camper trailer. I am thinking it may be significantly lower. Which would make pulling into a service area to get charged often with a trailer attached, a real pain. And who actually can afford one of these? I think GM made a huge mistake not making this at least a Hybrid. I think they made it look like an Avalanche to try to make up for discontinuing the Avalanche in 2013 and get back the folks like me who really liked the Avalanche. Just sayin.

  • I love EV's we have a Mach E GT for day-to-day driving, it's a blast to drive. But for towing and long-distance travel they SUCK. The Silverado EV looks like an avalanche wannabe......it's ugly. I'll stick with my 2023 ice Silverado

  • Looks like an old El Camino...I know some people liked them but not me...it looks like two halves put together

  • I love it! I cant wait to take delivery especially since I just sold my Avalanche last spring. Great concepts with better range than any of my ICE's or the Lightening. (PS Did you realize that every vehicle's mileage sucks when pulling a trailer) If you want real disappointment, maybe you should buy a different brand and model.
