The all-new, third-generation 2023 Chevy Colorado arrives featuring a new exterior, a new powertrain, plenty of on-board technology, and a completely revised interior. The new model rides on an updated platform, resulting in a more refined truck that is also more capable off-road. Under the hood resides one of two powertrains – the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine as well as the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B engine in Turbo Plus and Turbo High Output configurations. The new powerplants are mated to a new-generation eight-speed automatic transmission, which is vastly improved compared to the preceding GM eight-speed automatic, though a few issues still remain.
GM just debuted the all-new 2024 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison, the highly capable off-road midsize pickup truck developed in partnership with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV). For 2024, the Bison will be offered as a standalone trim level rather than as a package. In addition to a wealth of standard components from AEV, the 2024 Colorado ZR2 Bison also incorporates development input from off-road racing champion Chad Hall, and was refined on the Rubicon Trail to boot.
The online configurator tool is live for the 2023 Colorado, and still live for the 2022 Colorado.

I'm taking bets that the Colorado I have had on order since February was built in April and will still not be delivered before the 31st of July. I have a deposit on the vehicle, have the VIN, and it sits in a field. I've ordered two more to see which color comes in first! 2024's will be out soon. Poor customer service GM
You do realize it’s the GOV that held them back so they are 4 months behind schedule in general right?
For all off you that don’t know the 2023 Colorado will have an extended run…..the 2024 models won’t come out until late December or January. I have also noticed many new Colorado’s and New Canyons on the roads in the eastern portion of the US from a resent trip I took.
I've been waiting on one too. Very disappointing... I also have a deposit on it and have a vin number. I'm told it's sitting at the rail yard in Wentzville. It's been almost two months
That's great GM but there are no Colorado's on the lot to lease and it's taking months for them to arrive at the dealerships. Five months since they've been rolling off the line and I have yet to sit in one let alone drive it. Such a disappointing roll-out of this new model!!!!
Yep. These only exist for viewing via Youtube videos.
I can’t imagine what happened, it was already delayed to begin with! I finally saw one at a dealership yesterday, I would love to have one! But, it would be cheaper to by a Silverado with all the incentives available now. I wish GM could figure out how to get the vehicles to the dealer once they’re built. Covid isn’t an excuse anymore, are transport companies having that much trouble keeping drivers? I had a Bolt on order since October, before they increased the production for this model year and still couldn’t get it seven months later. Legacy manufacturers had better get it figured out, nobody said the transition would be easy. Let the market determine what customers want to drive, not the government! That’s how this whole problem started to begin with! Feds can’t even run the VA or USPS, they have no business telling businesses how to invest and operate. They will destroy this country. How many bankruptcy bailouts will be required to force manufacturers into EV mandates? Big government has no business over regulating banks, healthcare, energy and manufacturing!
So you get $1000 cash back on a new 2022. We're midway through the 2023 model year.
Prior to Covid, the rule of thumb was the value of your new vehicle lost 10-15% the minute you drive it off the lot and it becomes "used", then another 10%ish each year thereafter.
So if you buy a new 2022 today, assuming the pre-Covid value paradigm, you're underwater around 20%ish the minute you drive it off the lot. And for that you get $1000 cash back. Seems like a crummy deal to me.
