The 2023 Chevy Express van is now available to configure at Chevrolet’s website.
Now in its 20th model year, the Chevy Express van is once again available in a variety of models and layouts, including the 2023 Express Passenger van, and the 2023 Express Cargo van. The 2023 Chevy Express Passenger van starts at $42,300, while the 2023 Chevy Express Cargo van starts at $38,100. Configurations include the 2500 Regular Wheelbase, 2500 Extended Wheelbase, 3500 Regular Wheelbase, and 3500 Extended Wheelbase, while trim levels include WT, LS, and LT, depending on the model selected.
Engine options include the naturally aspirated 4.3L V6 LV1 gasoline engine, which is rated at 276 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 298 pound-feet of torque at 3,900 rpm, and the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, which is rated at 401 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 464 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. The V6 connects to the GM 8-speed automatic transmission (RPO code M5U), whereas the V8 connects to the GM 6-speed automatic transmission (RPO code MYD).
The 2.8L I4 LWN turbocharged Duramax engine is no longer offered for the latest 2023 model year. Under the body panels, the Chevy Express van rides on the GMT 610 platform.
Per previous GM Authority coverage, the start of regular production for the 2023 Chevy Express van got underway over the summer at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri, with the first 2023 Chevy Express rolling off the line in August. To note, the Chevy Express Cutaway is produced by Navistar at a separate facility in Ohio.
It’s also worth noting that pricing for the 2023 Chevy Express van increased compared to equivalent 2022-model-year vehicles. The 2023 Express van is now $5,200 more expensive across the board. That price increase includes an increase for the destination freight charge (DFC), which is now $100 more expensive, rising from $1,695 to $1,795. The easiest job in GM has to be the product planners for the full size vans.....

You're not giving them enough credit. Someone decided to cancel the diesel and raise the prices.
My dealer told me in July that the the 6.6L V8 engine was not available to order in a 2023 Express.
Can you still order the 6.6L V8 in a 2023 Express 350 Extended wheelbase van?
Not sure about the 3500 but not in the 2500.
I tried ordering a 3500 from my dealer last July and was told the V8 was not available in that configuration also. It’s disappointing.
