RHD Cadillac Lyriq Spotted In Australia

With the release of the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq in Australia likely only weeks away, and almost certainly coming before New Year’s Day 2025, a right-hand drive (RHD) Lyriq was spotted in the wild in Australia, parked in a space at Sandown Raceway, “the home of horsepower,” outside Melbourne.

This RHD example of the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq was reported by CarExpert, which showed images of the vehicle from all angles along with an interior view. Please note that the images here are not of the RHD Lyriq, but are generic photos of the model.

The RHD Cadillac Lyriq appears to be wearing a coat of Radiant Red Tintcoat (color code GNT) exterior paint. Meanwhile, the interior boasts the beige full leather seats with perforated inserts and Oxford Stone with Garnet accents (RPO code H7A) interior colorway, normally offered on the Luxury 3 and Sport 3 trim levels. Why the vehicle is present ahead of official release is unclear.

In addition to RHD, the Australian variant of the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq will have several standard configuration details that differ from the US standard features of the EV. Per info released in April and since, the Australian Lyriq rides on 21-inch wheels, unlike the 20-inch and 22-inch rollers offered for the American market. It also comes exclusively in an AWD dual-motor setup, with the 600E4 badge on the Sandown Raceway example indicating the twin-motor Lyriq’s revised 2025 output of 515 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque.

Other features the Australian RHD Cadillac Lyriq will get include Adaptive LED headlights, a panoramic fixed glass roof with a sunshade, a 33-inch infotainment display with 9K resolution, heated front and rear seats, massaging and ventilated front seats, integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a lineup of tech goodies.

The Cadillac Lyriq was originally confirmed for the Australian and New Zealand market back in November 2023, with approximately two years passing between confirmation and arrival. However, a RHD Lyriq was spotted in Michigan as far back as February 2023 by a YouTube user, though at that point in time GM was still denying plans to bring the model to Australia.

As a reminder, the Cadillac Lyriq is motivated by GM Ultium battery technology and GM Ultium Drive motor technology. The crossover is underpinned by the GM BEV3 platform. Production for the North American market takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
