General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade earlier this week, showing off a variety of updates and changes, such as reworked styling, new tech and convenience features, and a revised powertrain lineup. As was the case previously, the Escalade lineup once again includes the high-performance Escalade-V, cradling a supercharged engine under the hood, plus all the trimmings to support the extra power. Now, GM says it plans to increase production of the Cadillac Escalade-V in order to meet demand.
Cadillac has confirmed that it will increase production of the Cadillac Escalade-V as it moves into the 2025 model year.
“We are increasing production [of the Escalade-V] to help meet customer demand for the pinnacle of Escalade performance, luxury and craftsmanship, while maintaining exclusivity,” the luxury marque told members of the press ahead of the refreshed SUV’s reveal.
To increase production for the Escalade-V, fewer units decked out in the Luxury trim level will be built. The high-performance SUV has traditionally been a low-production model since its debut for the 2023 model year, but now, it appears as though demand is strong enough to justify higher production volume.
The strong demand likely stems from the fact that the Escalade-V has arguably no direct rivals. While the Mercedes-AMG GLS and BMW Alpina XB7 are close, both the Mercedes and the BMW incorporate a unibody construction, as compared to the Cadillac Escalade, which is a body-on-frame vehicle with two wheelbase options.
Under the hood, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V is equipped as standard with the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which is rated at a maximum of 682 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 653 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. Output is routed through the standard GM 10-speed automatic transmission, while complementary performance items include large Brembo brakes and adjustable suspension settings. The exterior of the Escalade-V also features unique styling, which was updated for the recent 2025 model-year refresh to include a design similar to that of the Escalade IQ.
All Cadillac Escalade variants ride on the GM T1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Putting a supercharged V8 into a vehicle creates demand? Wow, who would have guessed???
Stellantis is finding that out the hard way!!
Hopefully higher production equates to lower price. Wishful thinking? Time will tell. How about an option for a Yukon Denali for same engine as the V?
The lower price will just be no "market adjustment" by the dealer. Mine I think has stopped, but a few months ago they added 20k and they did not last more than a few days with that price. They may still be doing it, last I looked they had 0 in stock, so could not tell. They must be a most favored dealer as they got them when I know many dealers got a zero allocation of the V-slade.
I am sure that the MSRP will not go down. Cadillac needs the profits from these premium luxury performance vehicles to offset other products that are not profitable. Smart business move by Cadillac.
A GM product where the product is on target to wealthy younger buyers. The Escalade is "cool" needs little marketing or advertising like the current Corvette. Cash cows for GM. Makes up for losing their booty on EVs.
Agree, slade is up there with RR or G-wagon for cool factor. And they really don't advertise per se, but I suspect they give some to "influencers" to keep the cache. I'm going to disagree on vette though. I've yet to see an ad, and I don't think they do the gimme's on the vette's like the slade's. Vette sales are still pretty strong, which is amazing given what year the C8 is in. Normally this far into the series, discounting is serious. I got 12K off my C7. I'm not seeing fire sales like that on the C8. C8 has picked up way more conquest sales than previous generations, and has lost some return buyers, but on the whole, I think demand went up. And I say that as someone not interested in the C8.
One trim level is missing, "cash cow"!
If gm were smart, they would backfill the spare capacity at Factory Zero with large SUV production. Arlington is running full bore and cannot meet demand.
If GM was really smart they would retool the extra plant in Oshawa, save .30 cents on the dollar plus considerably less in wages plus as proven in the past a much better quality build and really make a killing on the V!!!
need V10 next. make it so!
I thought this story was interesting because my area dealerships here has no problem supplying Escalade V models and they are usually gone within a week. So are there a waiting list currently to justify increase production? I just hope that Cadillac don't overproduce where they have to put money on the hood. The V needs to stay exclusive but Cadillac needs to be careful to not overproduce.
