The 2024 Chevy Suburban debuts the fourth model year for the full-size SUV’s twelfth generation, introducing a handful of changes compared to the preceding 2023 Chevy Suburban. Now, Chevy is offering interested customers a chance to spec the 2024 Chevy Suburban using the official online configurator tool at the Chevrolet website.
Customers have six trim levels to choose from, including LS, LT, Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country.
As GM Authority covered previously, General Motors has increased pricing for the Chevy Suburban in conjunction with the 2024 model year, with all trim levels now $2,000 more expensive compared to equivalent 2023 model-year vehicles. Additionally, the destination freight charge (DFC) was increased by $100, and is now set at $1,995. As such, the 2024 Chevy Suburban is now $2,100 more expensive than equivalent trim levels offered for the 2023 model year.
The least-expensive 2024 Chevy Suburban on offer is the LS trim with 2WD and the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, starting at $61,195 (including DFC). The most-expensive 2024 Chevy Suburban is the High Country trim with 4WD and naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, starting at $84,395 (including DFC).
Beyond the pricing changes, the 2024 Chevy Suburban also offers a revised exterior paint list, with Auburn Metallic (paint code G48) no longer available. Nine exterior paint options remain, including:
New orders for the 2024 Chevy Suburban opened September 28th, 2023. Production of the latest Suburban is under way now, and was originally expected to kick off November 6th, but was ultimately delayed, likely as a result of the UAW strike.
With regard to the powertrain, the 2024 Chevy Suburban offers three engine options, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and finally, the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
The GM T1 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.
The 2024 Chevy Suburban was originally expected to introduce a model refresh, but this is no longer the case.

Silver Sage is pretty nice (at least it's not Cacti) but how 'bout a nice medium or dark green metallic? Everyone seems to be forgetting this color these days.
I tried to get in the configurator for the tahoe and suburban (2024) just to see if options have also increased in price (besides msrp) and got error messages for both. They went into production this week. My dealer called me to tell me that my factory ordered 2024 Tahoe just rolled out of assembly!!nothing like not knowing the final price ….. though i can pass on it and get my deposit back….still
