Here’s When 2024 Chevy Tahoe And Suburban Orders Will Open

The Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban both received an overhaul for the 2021 model year, with the upcoming 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban no longer anticipated to introduce any major changes over the preceding 2023 model year. The refreshed Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban are currently expected to debut for the 2025 model year, if not later. Now, GM Authority has learned when dealers will be able to submit orders for the 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban full-size SUVs.

According to GM Authority sources, dealers will be able to submit new orders for the 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban starting Thursday, September 28th, 2023. Production for both SUVs is expected to kick off on Monday, November 6th, 2023. As is the case for the 2023 model-year vehicles, production will once again take place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Per previous GM Authority coverage, the 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban were originally expected to introduce a refresh complete with a long of updates and changes. However, new information later came to light indicating that the refreshed SUVs would in fact debut for the 2025 model year at the earliest.

As such, the 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban will continue to offer the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine, at least for now. Both SUVs were previously expected to offer the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine as a replacement for the 3.0L I6 LM2 in conjunction with the refresh. However, with the refresh now expected to debut at a later date, this is no longer the case.

As a reminder, both SUVs also offer a pair of gasoline-fueled engine options, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, and the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine. Both SUVs ride on the GM T1 platform.

Who’s betting that 24 model year run will be short . You don’t debut mules with minor tweaking to wait a year for production, just saying .

I put a build order in June 2023 for a diesel suburban. Nothing has happened. When will I be able to buy the same as I ordered in June but for a 2024 suburban? How come I can’t be put first in line for a 2024 since I have been waiting 6 months for a suburban with a diesel engine. Ed bobilin

Kind of like the 2023 HD-2500’s. It was a very short run.

We hope. I am number 1 on my dealer list to order a 2024 Tahoe. But I won’t because the interior and diesel motor has not been upgraded.

Hey if I’m pulling a Hvy boat with GMC Denali, would the air suspension help keep things level, or stick with the mag ride. My old ‘13 caddy had some kind of air bag and it worked well. I’ve seen lots of problems with the air and don’t want a problem viechle.

it will help and yes they all fail and are stupidly expensive to repair. how long you keeping the car for? its a later in life type failure. 99% never get fixed and get replaced with the normal components when they die

Don’t get the air suspension, it fails pretty quick. When it failed for me the vehicle auto limited the speed to 56 mph, it basically bricks the vehicle if you need to go on highway. Where I live in TX is all HWY. I had to wait for over a month for it to get fixed and it’s not really completely fixed either, but I was successful with a lemon claim so who cares now. My recommendation is stay away from GM, they don’t care about their customers and put together subpar vehicles now. Big bummer
