The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 introduces a few changes and updates over the refreshed 2022 model year, ushering in the fifth model year for the latest fourth generation. Notably, GM applied a price increase to the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 this past November.
Last month, GM raised the MSRP for all eight 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 trim levels, with the pricing increase varying between $300 and $3,395 depending on the trim level. The smallest price increase was for the Sierra Denali Ultimate, the range-topper of the bunch, while the largest price increase was for the Sierra AT4X, which now gets a selection of new AEV off-road equipment as standard.
With this latest price increased applied in November of the 2022 calendar year, the least-expensive 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 on offer, specifically the Sierra Pro in the Regular Cab / Standard Box configuration with 2WD and turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, is now priced at $38,995, including destination freight charge (DFC). Meanwhile, the most-expensive 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 on offer, specifically the Denali Ultimate Crew Cab / Short Box with 4WD and naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, is now priced at $83,995, including DFC.

I still find it hard to believe these cost increases are 100% necessary... Only 3 years ago everyone offered 5-10k off their trucks... Have they really eaten that much into their profit that they've had to increase what 5k in total now?
It’s incredible that GM announced the price of the 22’ ZR2 was to be $68k and the AT4X at $74k… explain to me how bumpers demand an increase of $9k, especially since they should have been on the 22’s to begin with.
Gm has reached a new corporate greed level !!I worked at gm before I retired where we built the canyon and the build cost were $5500 including labor and materials but they sell them between $40 and $50 grand . I under stand their need to make money but all the American people are doing is paying for their EV transition !
Yeah that is just a flat out lie, I have been in the auto industry and I am in corporate finance, that is not even remotely the costs they incur to build one. Did you miss a key? 25,500 would be much more realistic. There are a ton of legacy costs that GM incurs (costs for retirees, healthcare, pensions, etc) that compound as those costs go up. I would bet they are somewhere in the 20%+ margin on profit from those trucks. GM as a whole is just under 10%.
Same configuration as my 2020 is now 8k more.
No way the build cost was $5500
Agreed. The engine alone cost that much.
OHHH OHHHH!!!!....WHO Is The Pinocchio (On Vehicle True Cost)?...Would Anyone Care To Referee?
Are these Canadian or US prices ?
My last two Sierra AT4s ('20 and '22) were low $60s CAD - about $810 a month.
Just talked to my dealer and list on a '23 is $88k, or $1450 a month.
GM is the only company that you order from based on a price and then when it finally come in the price is thousands higher. Then the f you on the trade in value of your truck. Do not belive the value of your trade gmc gives you on the GMC website when you build your own truck. My dealer offered 9k less than rhe price on GMc.com!
