One of the unique available options for the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is Enclosed Shipping, which will ensure the vehicle is transported from the factory to Michigan to the dealership in an enclosed trailer. Unfortunately (and admittedly rather obviously) it seems only customers in the 48 contiguous states will be able to select this option, as complex logistics and high costs will likely prevent enclosed shipping to either Alaska or Hawaii.
The enclosed shipping carrier option for the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is tagged with RPO code XES and, as we reported previously, will have an unfixed price based on the distance between the destination dealer and the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. This option will ensure the vehicle is shipped on a transport truck with an enclosed trailer, rather than out in the open. While new vehicles are often shipped with a protective film to prevent paint damage, this provides an extra layer of protection for Blackwing buyers who want to ensure their new performance sedan remains in good condition.
As a reminder, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, which produces a maximum of 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. All that muscle is sent to the rear axle by way of either the six-speed manual transmission, or the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. The four-door rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Lansing, Michigan.
Another change in store for the 2023 model-year CT4-V Blackwing is the deletion of four exterior paint colors, including Satin Steel Metallic, Shadow Metallic, Infrared Tintcoat, and Dark Emerald Frost. These four exterior paint options will be replaced with the following four new paint colors: Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, Midnight Steel Metallic, and Maverick Noir Frost,

I was under the impression that the 2022 CT5V blackwing was going to be the last one before the e caddies would take over.
The two V Blackwing models (CT4 and CT5) are the last gas powered cars (GM left SUVs out of their press release) that Cadillac will develop. That includes the entire model run, which will likely be at least 3 or 4 years. There will be no new ICE cars from Caddy. It makes no sense for any manufacturer to put so much R&D and behind a vehicle to only produce it for one year. Let's think a little bit before posting.
