Three More 2022 Chevy Blazer Paint Colors Are Built Out For The Model Year

The 2022 Chevy Blazer is the fourth model year for the crossover nameplate, introducing a number of changes and updates over the preceding 2021 model year. Notably, GM Authority has learned that several of the 2022 Chevy Blazer’s exterior paint colors have been built out for the model year.

According to GM Authority sources, the following three exterior colors have been built out for the 2022 model year of the Chevy Blazer crossover (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Silver Ice Metallic (GAN)
  • Pewter Metallic (GFR)
  • Cherry Red Tintcoat (GSK)

Additionally, the 2022 Chevy Blazer is no longer available to order in Cayenne Orange Metallic, which is also built out for the 2022 model year, as GM Authority covered previously.

For the moment, it’s unclear if these exterior paint colors will return for the 2023 model year, given the 2023 Chevy Blazer introduces a full model refresh for the crossover.

General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer earlier in the year, introducing new exterior styling that includes a revised front fascia design characterized by reshaped LED daytime running lamps that are stretched across the upper corners of the front fascia, as well as a new grille with a larger hourglass shape. In addition, the refreshed 2023 model year also introduces new wheel designs, while the interior was redesigned with a fresh 10-inch diagonal color touchscreen, equipped as standard across the lineup.

The powertrain spec will once again offer two engine options. Kicking it off will be the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque, equipped as standard on 2LT, 3LT, and Premier trim levels, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, equipped as standard for the RS trim and offered as optional for 3LT and Premier trim levels. The GM nine-speed automatic will once again be onboard to handle cog swaps.

Under the body panels, the Chevy Blazer rides on the GM C1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
