Chevy just unveiled a fresh special edition package for the 2023 Chevy Tahoe, offering sporty-minded enthusiasts a number of pursuit-rated upgrades and underhood goodies via the new 2023 Chevy Tahoe RST Performance Edition.
Making its formal debut at the 2022 North American International Auto Show, also known as the Detroit Auto Show, the new 2023 Chevy Tahoe RST Performance Edition runs the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine with the Chevrolet Performance induction and exhaust systems bolted in to add an extra 13 horsepower and 7 pound-feet of torque, bringing peak output figures to 433 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. Output is directed to the Tahoe’s four-wheel drive system exclusively by way of the GM 10-speed automatic transmission.
These upgrades result in quicker acceleration, with 60 mph arriving in less than 5.78 seconds (5.95 seconds for base RST), and the quarter mile completed in 14.2 seconds at 97 mph (14.4 seconds at 97 mph for base RST). Top speed is upped to 124 mph (112 mph for base RST). Max trailering capacity matches the base RST at 7,600 pounds.
Other performance components taken from the Chevy Tahoe PPV are also included, such as unique engine and suspension calibrations, along with 275/55VR20 Firestone Firehawk Pursuit tires. The 2023 Chevy Tahoe RST Performance Edition offers stronger braking power with a 60-mph-to-0 stopping distance of 133 feet, thanks to Brembo front and rear brakes, complete in a Torch Red finish for the calipers.
Aesthetic upgrades include black RST badges in the rear, while standard sport pedals are found in the cabin.
Additionally, the new 2023 Chevy Tahoe RST Performance Edition bundles in the Luxury Package (RPO code WPL), which includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
To note, the second-row bench seat can be swapped for the Second-row power bucket seats (RPO code ATN), if desired.
The 2023 Chevy Tahoe RST Performance Edition package is priced at $8,525, with production kicking off in Q4 of the 2022 calendar year at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.
