The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV hasn’t officially reached consumers yet, but that hasn’t stopped many from saying positive things about the affordable electric vehicle. In fact, it seems it has earned its first award.
Green Car Reports has named the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV its Best Car To Buy 2017 after the vehicle wowed with not just lofty range promises, but delivered on them.
As the original report notes, the Bolt EV’s $37,495 price tag is half that of a Tesla Model S with all of the range. And the Bolt EV isn’t simply frugal when it comes to saving energy cost, it’s also fun to drive, has plenty of technology inside and excellent cargo space.
In the end, it was the Bolt EV’s death to range anxiety that helped it really secure the award. With 238 miles or range, drivers can be comfortable knowing they’re not going to be stranded at a moment’s notice. Congratulations, Chevrolet.
