We have seen more than one round of spy photos of the 2015 Opel Corsa hatchback, but every time it has been spotted out in the wild, its body was veiled with the spy photographer’s worst enemy, camouflage. But now, thanks to AutoEvolution, we can see the German brand’s upcoming compact in its entirety.
The spy photos were shot while the new Corsa was out on its first official photoshoot. The overall profile of the car remains, however the body is more sculpted and as expected, pulls styling cues from the sleek and stylish Monza Concept. The front fascia also borrows styling cues from the Adam city car, while the rear is more akin to the Astra hatchback.
AE says the new Corsa will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this October, at which point in time Opel will reveal to the public the car’s engine options. These include the 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine available in the Adam, in both 90 and 115 horsepower guises, and possibly other more powerful options from the General Motors’ new line of Ecotec engines.
Other changes for the new Corsa include a completely revised interior, freshened up with more soft touch materials, a new steering wheel which it will share with the upcoming D2XX-based Chevrolet Cruze and a new color touch screen. The car will also be available with OnStar’s 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot system.

"pulls styling cues from the sleek and stylish Monza Concept"
Not really...As far as we can judge the newest spy shots, the new Corsa combines the design language of the Adam (front) and the Astra GTC (rear end and doors). I don't see any cues from the Monza Concept.
"a new color touch screen."
New for the Corsa but it will be the same screen that is also used in the Adam.
"a new steering wheel which it will share with the upcoming D2XX-based Chevrolet Cruze."
It looks very similar but is not the same.
The side profile looks like the previous renault clio. When all said and done this is a thorough facelift and not a new generation. Shame really. Was hoping for something more this decade than a tarted up last decade car. However suppose it's better than just leaving the current generation to soldier on. Think I'll be replacing my current corsa with the new clio rather than this "new" Corsa.
You are right; it's not a completely new car. It's the same platform but that's all.
It has a new design, completely new interior with intellilink, new engines, new chassis and a new transmission.
It's the same thing, Volkswagen did with the Golf V and Golf VI. Nobody cared...it was the same car.
This new Corsa will have the newest technology Opel can offer in this segment and the most valuable interior. The Clio can't compete with that.
In terms of visual appeal these changes do not appeal to me like the Clio does. Maybe when I see the car for myself and see the differences my opinion might change. As soon as I saw the new clio I thought wow and whenever I see one on the road I can't help but take a good look and smile. I was hoping I would have the same reaction to this new Corsa, unfortunately and regardless of what is actually all new I've just felt a little disappointed.
Yes the exterior of the Clio is very nice! I absolutely agree with you. But you will maybe be shocked when you take a seat in this car...believe me...
I like the previous design better. Regardless, it's nice, but just doesn't excite me.
I won't rule it out. Will wait and see and see what it looks like in the flesh. I may see it in a different light
cant wait and then we will see.
