Quality CoachWorks Presents Six-Door GMC Yukon And Yukon XL: Video

Back in August of 2023, GM Authority took a look at Quality CoachWorks’ six-door Cadillac Escalade ESV, an extra-length upgrade for the iconic Escalade nameplate with enough space to sit 11 passengers. Now, the California-based company is back at it, showing off a six-door upgrade for the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL. As was the case for the six-door Escalade, the new Yukon build maintains the luxury and opulence expected of the nameplate, plus loads more passenger room in the cabin, as detailed in the following quick videos.

While the concept of a six-door GMC Yukon may seem straightforward, actually pulling it off without butchering an otherwise gorgeous SUV could prove tricky. However, looking at these videos, it appears as though QC managed exactly that, bringing a high degree of refinement in the execution.

Essentially, Quality CoahWorks added two additional center doors to the vehicle, significantly extending the overall length to accommodate additional passengers. The two extra doors include power windows and door locks, as well as extra speakers, while extended power running boards provide the assist when stepping in or out.

The cabin looks quite nice as well, with factory-matching seat inserts, floor mats, trim, and carpets, as well as a pair of iPads in the second-row headrests for entertainment. The whole layout looks surprisingly factory for a custom vehicle, which is a testament to the overall build quality. Even the retractable sunroof works as expected.

Although Quality CoachWorks doesn’t specify powertrain specs, the 2024 GMC Yukon Denali is equipped as standard with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque from the factory. The 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax is offered as optional. All factory Yukon variants ride on the GM T1 platform, while original vehicle production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Given each bespoke build is made to customer preferences, Quality CoachWorks doesn’t provide pricing for its six-door upgrade, but encourages interested customers to get in touch for more information.
